This pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms.

Pattern is written for 42 cm long headband that is long enough for babies from 0-12 months, but you can do it longer if you want, just make multiple of 6 foundation stiches.

LET'S START!!!

Row 1:
Make a chsc of 102 stiches.
This is how you do chainless single crochet stitch:
First:
Chain two
Insert hook under top two strands of first chain
Yarn over, pull through the two strands of the first chain
Yarn over, pull through one loop
Yarn over, pull through two loops

Second (and all other) stitches:
Insert hook in chain part of previous stitch under left and back strands of chain part
Yarn over, pull through the two strands of the previous chain
Yarn over, pull through one loop
Yarn over, pull through two loops (single crochet part)
repeat to end.

If you still don't understand how to make chainless foundation there is a lot of videos on YouTube that you can see, just type "crochet chainless foundation".

Row 2:
Ch 1, turn, sc to the end. (102 stiches)

Row 3:
Ch 3, turn, 3 dc, * 2 ch, skip 2 stiches, 1 dc in next stitch (repeat from * until there is 4 stiches left and make 4 dc.

Row 4:
Ch 1, turn, make sc in every dc, and 2 sc in every ch 2 space.

Row 5:
Ch 1, turn, make sc in every sc from previous row. Fasten off.

This is how it should look like.

Now attach contrasting color (in this case brown) and start with first sc.
*Ch 3, skip 1 stitch, sc in next (repeat from * around the headband making sc in center of dc on the ends of headband), slst in first sc from beginning.

Now it's time to make a leaf and flower

     Leaf

Start with chain 4, slst in first chain to join in a ring.
Round 1:
*ch 4, 2 sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc next 2 ch, sc in foundation ring, repeat from * 4 times, do not join.
Round 2:
*sc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st, 2 dc-1 trc-2 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, sc in next 2 st, slst in next st, repeat from * 4 times. Fasten off.

    Flower

Start with chain 4, slst in first chain to join in a ring.
Round 1:
*ch 3, sc into the ring, repeat from * 5 times.
Round 2:
*slst in 3ch space, ch 1, 3 dc in same 3ch space, ch 1, slst in same space, repeat from * 5 times.

Put a satin ribbon through the headband.
